Mai's Cooking Diary

I've been spending a lot of time in the kitchen lately!

Some stuff I've made in the past month:

1)Fried cheese balls

*I mixed shredded cheese, cream cheese, and sour cream together and rolled them to balls.

Then I rolled the balls in batter, and deep-fried them!

They were pretty good and they go great with alcohol! (I had mine with wine!)

(The thing on the right is supposed to be a smile...I drew it with ketchup)

2) Lasagna:

I made this for my family and I BURNED THE TOP :( UGHHHH

I think lasagna is pretty easy to make if you know how to make meat sauce.

It's basically layering lasgna, meat sauce, and cream sauce. Then you top everything with cheese and throw it into the oven :)

3) Chocolate Chip/ M&M Cookies

Ｍ＆Ｍが混ざってるクッキーってよくアメリカでみますよね＾＾　

.....and last but not least:

4) Cream Cheese Cupcakes

The bottom cake portion was a bit hard to make because the butter was hard and it required lots of strength to mix it and make it smooth and creamy!

Also, I forgot to preheat the oven when I made these!! So when I first took them out of the oven they were super-raw!! :( I had to put them back in and bake 'em some more.

My goal for this year is to become an awesome chef!!! I'm gonna keep practicing and practicing :)
