“Do You Understand English but Feel Shy Speaking?”

Faith D

Do you understand English when someone speaks to you, but sometimes you feel nervous when it is your turn to speak?
You are not alone! ?
Many English learners know a lot of vocabulary and grammar, but they don't get enough opportunities to actually use English in conversation.
Speaking English doesn't have to be perfect. The most important thing is to practise, express your ideas, and become more confident little by little.
Here are three simple ways to improve your speaking:
? 1. Speak every day.
Even 5–10 minutes of English conversation can make a difference.
? 2. Don't be afraid of mistakes.
Mistakes are a natural part of learning. Instead of worrying about every mistake, focus on communicating your message.
? 3. Learn useful phrases, not only individual words.
For example, instead of learning only “opinion,” learn: “In my opinion…” “I agree because…” “Personally, I think…”
In my English conversation lessons, I want students to feel comfortable speaking, sharing their opinions and talking about everyday topics in a relaxed environment. ☕
What English topic would you enjoy talking about? Travel, food, hobbies, work, movies, or everyday life?
I would love to hear your answer! ?
