皆さん、お正月はいかがお過ごしでしょうか。マレーシアでは、今日、人々は職場に戻り、地元の学校は新年度を迎えました。今だにそれを変に思う自分がいます。
How is everybody in Japan enjoying New Year Celebration? In Malaysia, people were back to work, and the local schools started the new school year today. I still feel strange about that.
クリスマスは、リペ島で過ごしましたが、その後バンコクへ移動。バンコクの賑やかさを心から楽しんだ訳ですが、何よりもやはりタイ料理！主人と私は大の辛いもの好きでして、それがだんだんとひどくなっています（笑）プリックナンプラーというフィッシュソースときざんだチリのソースを使っていたとすると、一口食べるのに対して一切れか二切れのチリが必要という程です！
I was in Koh Lipe for Christmas, and then traveld to Bangkok afterwards. I thoroughly enjoyed the liveliness there, but I must say, more than anything, I enjoyed Thai food!! My husband and I love spicy food, and I think it is getting worse lol! If I use prik nam pla (fish sauce wih chopped chili), I need a piece or two chilis every mouthful of food I eat!
特にタイの北東部のイサン料理の大ファンです。というのはやはり辛いから！（左上ーソムタム、有名なパパヤサラダ、右上ーカオソイというカレー風味のヌードル）
We particularly love Isan food from northeastern region of Thailand because they are very spicy! (Top left - Som Tam, the famous Papaya salad. Top right - Khao Soi - curry noodle)
左下のヌードルスープは道端にいた屋台のおばさんから。すごくおいしかったので、思わす朝ご飯に二日連続で食べてしまいました。（そう、朝から辛い物、食べてました！）
The pork noodle soup in the left bottom photo was off from a street vender. It was soo yummy that I ate it twice for breakfast (yes spicy food from the morning... crazy huh?)
右下の写真の魚は、小麦粉と塩でまぶした後、炭火焼にしたもの。そのコーティングが中を蒸し焼きにするので、皮をむいて食べてみると中身はとてもジューシー！
The fish in the right bottom photo was coated with flour and rock salt and grilled over charcoal. The coating created the steaming effect that you can peel the skin off and eat inside. It was very juicy!
