🕒 Lesson Stages

1. Warm-Up 

  • Ask: “Do you like eating in restaurants?”

  • Show pictures of food or restaurants and ask students to name what they see.

  • Quick discussion: “What’s your favorite food?”


2. Vocabulary Introduction

  • Show flashcards or slides with restaurant-related words.

  • Drill pronunciation: repeat after teacher.

  • Use short examples:

    • “This is a menu.”

    • “The waiter brings your food.”


3. Listening or Reading Practice 

  • Read a short restaurant dialogue or play an audio clip. Example:

    Waiter: Hello! Are you ready to order?
    Customer: Yes, I’d like some chicken and rice, please.
    Waiter: What would you like to drink?
    Customer: Water, please.
    Waiter: Thank you!

  • Ask comprehension questions:

    • “What did the customer order?”

    • “What did the waiter ask?”


4. Speaking Practice / Role-Play 

  • Students practice the dialogue.

  • Switch roles (waiter ↔ customer).

  • Encourage natural tone and politeness.

  • Optional: Show a “menu” with pictures for them to choose from.


5. Wrap-Up & Review 

  • Review new words and phrases.

  • Ask: “What will you say when you want to order food?”
