🕒 Lesson Breakdown
1. Warm-Up (3 mins)
Goal: Activate prior knowledge and get comfortable
Activity:
- 
Ask: “How are you today?” “What did you do this morning?” 
- 
If beginner: provide choices (“Did you eat breakfast or lunch?”) 
2. Introduction to Friendly Conversations (3 mins)
Explain:
- 
Friendly conversations are short, casual chats between people. 
- 
We often use them at work, school, or in public places. 
Teach common phrases:
- 
"Hi! How are you?" 
- 
"Nice to meet you." 
- 
"Where are you from?" 
- 
"What do you do?" 
- 
"How was your weekend?" 
3. Listening & Repeating (5 mins)
Activity:
- 
Say each phrase clearly. 
- 
Student repeats after you (twice). 
- 
Correct pronunciation gently. 
- 
Ask student to say the phrases naturally. 
4. Practice Dialogue (5 mins)
Script Sample:
 A: Hi, how are you?
 B: I’m good, thanks. And you?
 A: I’m fine. What’s your name?
 B: I’m [Name]. Nice to meet you!
 A: Nice to meet you too. Where are you from?
Activity:

Read together once. 
- 
Then roleplay (you play A, they play B — then switch). 
5. Personalized Practice (5 mins)
Activity:

Student answers basic friendly questions about themselves (e.g., name, country, job, hobbies).

Use prompts if needed: -

"Guess Who?" Game:

Describe a person using friendly phrases. -
