The series of talks will discuss the folk revival in Scotland and Ireland and how folk music has developed sice the middle of the 20th century.
The teacher is a musician and will demnonstrate the music, the styles and rhythms and will introduce the student to some of the best old and new music, musicians and groups.
The talks will also include the music of other celtic countries such as Brittany, Galicia, and the folk rock movemnt of the UK.
The instrumentation of the bands and the acceptance of modern and development of new instruments will also be discussed according to the student's requests.
