Let's improve your fluency by learning meaningful target language of your choice!

In this lesson, we will discuss a TED Talk of your choice that you will have previously watched in your free time. If you wish, I will be more than happy to help you choose a video or topic in preparation to our lesson.
For each video, I will prepare a set of short-answer questions or discussion questions to help you improving your fluency and to learn and practise new, meaningful target language.

TED is a nonprofit organisation dedicated to sharing important ideas on a wide variety of topics. The world’s most innovative people come together to deliver short, powerful talks on issues that matter.
TED Talks can be a phenomenal learning resource, both for students AND teachers!
As a teacher, I love using them to spark meaningful conversations with my students.
TED Talks is an incredible teaching tool that gives students a healthy dose of general knowledge alongside authentic English conversations. These short presentations will offer you the chance to engage with new ideas while practicing language learning skills in a fun, innovative way.
There are countless free videos to choose from on hundreds of topics, all presented by leading experts in their given field. The whole goal of this lecture series is to spread information around the world, helping to educate people and open minds to new ideas.
More specifically, TED Talks can be used for:
• Get the chance to practice your own English-speaking skills in discussion and presentations.
• Learn to think creatively by creating your own presentations.
• Get introduced to different cultures, ideas and information from around the world.
Not only does this make learning English more fun, it will also help you gain deeper insight into North American and British culture, helping you learn how to speak more naturally.
For each video, I will prepare a set of short-answer questions or discussion questions to help you improving your fluency and to learn and practise new, meaningful target language.
At the end of each lesson, I will provide you with a set of notes you can use to keep practising at home to help you improve your skills and knowledge.
