Lesson Pack Details

This is a 3-lesson pack. You will be issued 2 “coupons” when the first request is confirmed. You will be able to use these coupons for subsequent requests in the pack. Please note that all requests related to this pack must be taken within 30 days of the first lesson date.

Lessons should generally be booked chronologically, meaning that the second lesson should be booked after the first, and so on.

LESSON PLAN

The didactic approach of my courses is the task approach. This means that the students are the protagonists of their learning process and my task as a teacher is to guide them. At the end of the course, you must complete an assignment where you show what you have learned in the classes developed.

The final work will not have a grade, but it will have feedback. The goal of this feedback is to help you to continue your language learning. I hope you enjoy the learning process.

You will learn vocabulary related to Christmas Day, write an email and speak using the vocabulary studied.


FINAL ASSIGNMENT

First part

You will have to write a text in Spanish (no more than 100 words). In that text, you will have to explain how Christmas Day is celebrated and to compare the traditions between your country and South American countries.

Second part

You will have to speak about how Christmas Day is celebrated in your country or city. Then, you will have to tell us something about your last Christmas: what it was like, what you did, etc.


Lesson 1

Contents: Vocabulary related to Christmas.

Activity: Play a game about Christmas vocabulary.

Name:  Learning Christmas vocabulary.

In this lesson, you will learn vocabulary related to Christmas Day through different games.

 

Lesson 2

Contents: Review of the Christmas vocabulary. Listening and writing. 

Activity: Listening activities and writing activities (sentences). Planning to write an email.

Name: Write an email about Christmas.

In this lesson, you will review the vocabulary related to Christmas Day. Also, you will listen to a recording of people talking about that. In the end, we will start a writing activity (email) using the vocabulary learnt.

 

Lesson 3

Contents: Review of the Christmas vocabulary. 

Activity: Review of the email which was writen by you. Explain how's Christmas is celebrated in your country and in your last Christmas. 

Name: My last Christmas.

This lesson will have two parts. Firstly, you will have to describe how Christmas Day is celebrated in your city or country and explain to us how your last Christmas was. Secondly, we will revise your email.

Cancellation of pack lessons

• 'Unstarted' lesson packs(1) can be cancelled any time. Used Points will be completely refunded. If a 'started' lesson pack(2) is cancelled, you will be refunded 50% of the price of the remaining lessons provided that the lessons are unrequested, unconfirmed or not within 24 hours of their scheduled start times.
(1) A lesson pack for which none of the requests have been confirmed by the tutor.
(2) A lesson pack with at least one confirmed request. (By confirming the date and time for the first lesson in the pack the tutor confirms the pack as a whole and coupons are automatically issued)

Cancelling individual requests in a pack

• If you wish to cancel a single lesson that belongs to a pack but not the whole pack, you can do so via the request page. In this case, the coupon used to book the lesson will either be refunded or collected, based on the tutors single-lesson cancellation policy. Please note that any 50% partial refunds in the tutors single-lesson cancellation policy do not apply to lesson packs and the tutor may choose to either refund or collect the coupon in those cases.
