Lesson Pack Details

This is a 15-lesson pack. You will be issued 14 “coupons” when the first request is confirmed. You will be able to use these coupons for subsequent requests in the pack. Please note that all requests related to this pack must be taken within 30 days of the first lesson date.

Lessons should generally be booked chronologically, meaning that the second lesson should be booked after the first, and so on.

English Exam Preparation – IELTS, TOEFL, Cambridge, and More

This course is designed for learners who want to achieve high scores in internationally recognized English exams such as IELTS, TOEFL, Cambridge (FCE, CAE, CPE), PTE, and other popular assessments. My goal is to provide learners with the knowledge, skills, and strategies needed to succeed while focusing on individual strengths and areas for improvement. By the end of this course, learners will feel confident, fully prepared, and capable of demonstrating their English proficiency in both academic and professional contexts.

  • Understand the structure, timing, and scoring criteria of their chosen exams

  • Develop exam-specific strategies to maximize scores in each skill area (Reading, Writing, listening, and speaking).

How I Will Help Learners for Each Exam

IELTS (International English Language Testing System)

For learners preparing for IELTS, I focus on the four core skills:

  • Listening: Practice understanding accents, identifying key information, and following complex conversations. I provide exercises with realistic audio tracks and teach techniques for note-taking and time management.

  • Reading: Develop skills in skimming, scanning, and understanding the main ideas in academic and general texts. Learners will practice handling different question types, including multiple-choice, matching, and gap-filling exercises.

  • Writing: Focus on Task 1 (describing graphs, charts, and diagrams) and Task 2 (essay writing). Learners will learn how to structure their writing, use cohesive devices, and express ideas clearly and formally.

  • Speaking: Practice fluency, pronunciation, and structuring responses for the three speaking parts. Role-play activities simulate real IELTS interviews to reduce anxiety and improve confidence.

TOEFL (Test of English as a Foreign Language)

For TOEFL preparation, the course emphasizes academic English and integrated skills:

  • Reading: Understanding academic texts, identifying main ideas, and answering inferential and factual questions accurately.

  • Listening: Developing comprehension of lectures, discussions, and conversations. I provide strategies to identify key points and take effective notes.

  • Speaking: Practice integrated tasks and independent tasks, focusing on clarity, coherence, and organization. Learners develop techniques for expressing opinions, summarizing content, and supporting arguments.

  • Writing: Focus on integrated and independent essays, teaching learners to structure arguments, support ideas with evidence, and write under time constraints.

Cambridge English Exams (FCE, CAE, CPE)

For Cambridge exams, learners receive guidance on both language proficiency and exam strategy:

  • Reading & Use of English: Vocabulary expansion, grammar review, and techniques for tackling multiple-choice, gapped text, and word formation exercises.

  • Writing: Practice reports, essays, proposals, and letters/emails with clear structures, formal language, and appropriate tone.

  • Listening: Exercises include dialogues, monologues, and interviews with comprehension strategies.

  • Speaking: Interactive practice with partner-based and solo exercises, focusing on fluency, spontaneity, and professional language use.

For exams such as PTE, Duolingo English Test, TOEIC, and others, I provide the following:

Cancellation of pack lessons

• 'Unstarted' lesson packs(1) can be cancelled any time. Used Points will be completely refunded. If a 'started' lesson pack(2) is cancelled, you will be refunded 50% of the price of the remaining lessons provided that the lessons are unrequested, unconfirmed or not within 24 hours of their scheduled start times.
(1) A lesson pack for which none of the requests have been confirmed by the tutor.
(2) A lesson pack with at least one confirmed request. (By confirming the date and time for the first lesson in the pack the tutor confirms the pack as a whole and coupons are automatically issued)

Cancelling individual requests in a pack

• If you wish to cancel a single lesson that belongs to a pack but not the whole pack, you can do so via the request page. In this case, the coupon used to book the lesson will either be refunded or collected, based on the tutors single-lesson cancellation policy. Please note that any 50% partial refunds in the tutors single-lesson cancellation policy do not apply to lesson packs and the tutor may choose to either refund or collect the coupon in those cases.

This lesson is “Immediately Confirmed”

If the requested date falls within 30 days, the request will be “confirmed” immediately without having to wait for the tutor to reply.

Requests will be confirmed immdiately expect the first one of a pack. If confirmed immediately, the policy “before request is confirmed” will not apply.
