"Is your little one about to take their very first step into the wonderful world of English? How exciting — and what a privilege it is to be part of that journey! This is the lesson where it all begins — and I promise you, we are going to make it the most fun, warm and memorable first experience your child has ever had with a new language!
Hello World! is not just a lesson — it is a celebration! A celebration of curiosity, of new beginnings and of the incredible adventure that learning English is about to become for your child. From the very first hello to the very last goodbye, every single minute of this lesson is designed to make your child feel safe, excited and absolutely delighted to be learning English!
I know that for many young children this may be their very first time sitting down with a teacher one on one — especially online. That can feel a little daunting at first! That is why I go above and beyond to make sure the atmosphere in this lesson is so warm, so playful and so full of laughter that your child completely forgets they are even learning. They will just think they are having the best time — and the English will come naturally along the way!
What We Cover
- Greetings and farewells — Hello, Hi, Good morning, Goodbye, See you later and more
- Introducing yourself — My name is, I am, I am from, I am years old
- Colours — learning the basic colours through fun games and visual activities
- Numbers 1 to 10 — counting, recognising and saying numbers out loud
- Simple classroom instructions — Stand up, Sit down, Look here, Repeat after me
- Basic yes and no responses — building the foundation of two-way communication
- My first English song — a fun, catchy song to close the lesson and seal the learning with a smile
How I Teach It
With the very youngest learners aged 4 to 8, my teaching approach is almost entirely play-based. I believe that at this age children learn best when they are moving, laughing, singing and exploring — not sitting still and memorising. So that is exactly the kind of lesson I create!
Every activity in this lesson is carefully designed to be:
- Short and punchy — young attention spans need variety and I deliver it!
- Highly visual — bright colours, fun images and animated expressions keep little eyes engaged
- Interactive and participatory — your child is never just watching, they are always doing
- Repetitive in a fun way — we revisit key words and phrases multiple times through different activities so they stick without feeling like drilling
- Encouraging at every turn — every attempt is celebrated, every effort is praised and every child leaves feeling like a superstar!
I also use a lot of TPR — Total Physical Response — which means we connect English words to physical movements and actions. Research shows this is one of the most effective ways to teach young children a new language and it makes lessons incredibly fun and memorable!

I understand that handing your young child over to an online teacher — especially for the very first time — requires a lot of trust. I want you to know that I do not take that trust lightly for even one second.
In this lesson I will treat your child with the same patience, warmth and care that I would want for a child of my own. I will follow their pace completely — never rushing, never pressuring and always celebrating every tiny win no matter how small. My goal for this very first lesson is simple — I want your child to finish and immediately say to you 'Mummy, when is my next lesson?' That is the standard I hold myself to every single time!
