2- Make comparison using comparative adjectives (grammar).
This lesson is divided into three parts with different objectives (a-d).
a. Brainstorming:
I will show students few famous landmarks and I will ask them to name them. I will then ask them what is the places they have already travelled to and what city or place they would like to visit one day and why. This helps students to get comfortable with the topic first.
b. Introduction and exercises:
In this section I will introduce the topic, adding new vocabulary to their knowledge, e.g. crowded, modern, building, peaceful, amusement park, shopping mall, etc.
Some language structure is added as well and students are encouraged to repeat the vocabulary in different type of exercises and activities, including few games that focus on target vocabulary.
c. Grammar
Listening and speaking exercise: The teacher will ask question
Which city is hotter?
Okinawa is hotter than Sapporo.
Which city is more exciting?

(I will also ask additional question to the student just to get him/her to speak a little bit).
