🎯 Objectives:
By the end of the lesson, students will be able to:
Use basic business vocabulary (company, product, service, customer, employee, head office).
Describe a company’s size, location, and products/services.
Ask and answer questions about companies.

Intelligent Business Pre-Intermediate Student's Book (Unit 1)
Audio tracks (Unit 1 dialogues)
Whiteboard and markers
Handouts or printed mini-dialogues (optional)
⏰ Lesson Stages:
1. Warm-up (5–7 minutes)
Quick discussion:
"Where do you work?" / "Tell me the name of a famous company."
Write a few company names on the board and ask:
"What do they sell?" / "What kind of company is it?"
2. Vocabulary Introduction (10 minutes)
Teach / review key vocabulary:
Company
Customer
Employee
Service
Product
Head Office
Board work: Match words with example sentences.
Example:
"Apple sells products like iPhones."
"A customer buys a product."
Pronunciation practice: Choral repetition.
3. Listening Activity (10–12 minutes)
Listening Task: (Student's Book Unit 1, Listening exercise)
Listen to two people discussing their companies.
First listening: What companies do they talk about? (general understanding)
Second listening: Fill in a table (e.g., company name, location, number of employees, type of business).
4. Controlled Speaking Practice (10–12 minutes)
Pair Work:
Students interview each other:
"Where is your company located?"
"What does your company do?"
"How many employees are there?"
"Do you sell products or services?"
Support with model answers on the board.
5. Freer Speaking Practice (15 minutes)
Mini-Presentation:
Students prepare a short description of a real or invented company.
They describe:
Name
Location
Products or services
Size (number of employees)
Example:
"My company is called FastTech. It is in Germany. We sell computers and offer IT services. We have 300 employees."
Students present to the group (1–2 minutes per student).
6. Review and Cool-down (5 minutes)
Quick recap:
Ask randomly: "Who can name one company we talked about?"
Quick quiz (oral): "What’s a customer?" "What’s a head office?"
Congratulate students and give optional homework:
Homework: Find information about a famous international company and be ready to talk about it in the next lesson.
