课程介绍
Have you read anything good lately? Are you engrossed in an absorbing book? Would you like to talk about books with a fellow book lover and improve your English at the same time? This may be the lesson for you. Join me in an informal book review conversation class.
You can boost your fluency, improve your pronunciation and expand your vocabulary whilst talking about plot, characters, style, the author, and literature in general. It doesn't matter which language your book is in or even if you're not reading a novel at the moment (you might be very busy this week). As long as you're willing to discuss literature and improve your English you're most welcome in 'Bookworms'!
Perhaps you don’t read much fiction? Maybe you prefer non-fiction? No problem. There’ll be plenty to talk about and plenty of opportunity to improve your English. You’re welcome too.
Everyone has a different priority. You might wish to practise writing or might need a hand with something you’ve already written. You can use these lessons to receive help with your literature essays, or book reviews, or even writing your own stories in English! Please let me know your requirements.
Aim of the class
For the student to express information and opinion on the content, style and background of a book and broaden the conversation to related topics.
For the student to improve fluency and accuracy, build confidence and refine pronunciation.
For the student to accurately apply grammar and demonstrate an extensive vocabulary in written compositions.
Is it for me?
For Intermediate to Advanced students.
If you’re interested in this class but are worried your English might not be good enough to talk or write about a book for fifty minutes, please get in touch. I’d be happy to talk with you and set your mind at rest. In my lesson list you’ll see ‘Getting to know you’ – I look forward to talking with you.
