Lesson Pack Details

This is a 4-lesson pack. You will be issued 3 “coupons” when the first request is confirmed. You will be able to use these coupons for subsequent requests in the pack. Please note that all requests related to this pack must be taken within 50 days of the first lesson date.

Lessons should generally be booked chronologically, meaning that the second lesson should be booked after the first, and so on.

Student's may continue this lesson plan and textbook, simply rebook. The teacher has recorded the lesson progression for individual students.

Lesson 1 

Students learn common colors, such as:
-red
-blue
-yellow
-green
-orange
-purple

Teachers usually introduce these with pictures or colored objects.

Example:
It’s red.
It’s blue.
Expansion: The ball is red. The ball is not blue. 
Students also review letters A-D with common words such as Apple, Ball, Car and Dog. "What color the the apple?/The apple is red."

Lesson 2

Students learn words for common toys, for example:

-ball
-doll
-car
-train
-teddy (teddy bear)

The teacher will show pictures or real toys while students listen and repeat.

Example: It’s a ball. It’s a doll.
Expansion: "What do you like to play with? I like to play with a doll."

Lesson 2-3 also contain key words such as:
-pen
-pencil
-notebook
-desk

Lesson 3

Students learn basic numbers:
-one
-two
-three
-four
-five

The teacher will use fingers, pictures, or classroom objects to help students count.

Example: One ball. Three cars
Expansion: There is one blue ball. There are three red cars.

Lesson 4

Students learn common family words such as:
-mom / mother
-dad / father
-brother
-sister
-baby

The teacher will show family pictures to help students understand the relationships.

Example: This is my mom. This is my brother.
Expansion: How many Moms are there? There are 5 Moms. How many girls are there? There are 6 girls. 

Lesson 5
Food and drinks

Students learn the names of common foods.

Vocabulary examples

-apple

-banana

-cake

-juice

-milk

Language pattern

Students often use simple identification sentences.

Examples: It’s an apple. It’s milk.
Expansion: I don't like bananas but I do like apples. 

Lesson 6

Vocabulary examples

-table

-chair

-book

-bag

-pen

Language pattern

Students practice identifying objects.

Examples: What’s this? It’s a book.
Expansion: I have a three books in my bag. 

Lesson 7

Vocabulary examples

-head

-eyes

-ears

-nose

-mouth

Language pattern

Students describe body parts.

Examples: This is my nose. These are my eyes.
Expansion: I smell with my nose. I see with my eyes.

Clothing

Students learn the names of common clothes.

Students describe clothes.

Examples: It’s a hat. These are shoes.
Expansion: My shirt is blue. Your shirt is brown.

Lesson 9

Common animals

Vocabulary examples

Students learn the names of basic animals and identify them.

Students identify animals.

Examples: It’s a dog. It’s a cat.
Expanding: I have a pet dog named Sam. He is 5 years old./ I don't have a pet cat.

Simple actions

Vocabulary example

Students learn basic verbs that describe actions.

Language pattern

Example: The man sits. I stand.
Expansion: The man sits on a chair. I stand on the grass. 



Lesson 11

Rooms in a house

Vocabulary examples

Students learn words for common rooms.

-bedroom

-bathroom

-kitchen

Language pattern

Students identify rooms.

Examples: It’s a kitchen. This is my bedroom.
Expansion: There are two bedrooms in my house. There is one kitchen in my house.

There will be a series of questions and activities to test the students knowledge, understanding and memory of the past 3 lessons. 
Examples: What is your favorite color? How old are you? Do you like to play with dolls or balls? How many dolls do you have? Is your family big or small? How many people live in your house? Who lives in your house?

Cancellation of pack lessons

• 'Unstarted' lesson packs(1) can be cancelled any time. Used Points will be completely refunded. If a 'started' lesson pack(2) is cancelled, you will be refunded 50% of the price of the remaining lessons provided that the lessons are unrequested, unconfirmed or not within 24 hours of their scheduled start times.
(1) A lesson pack for which none of the requests have been confirmed by the tutor.
(2) A lesson pack with at least one confirmed request. (By confirming the date and time for the first lesson in the pack the tutor confirms the pack as a whole and coupons are automatically issued)

Cancelling individual requests in a pack

• If you wish to cancel a single lesson that belongs to a pack but not the whole pack, you can do so via the request page. In this case, the coupon used to book the lesson will either be refunded or collected, based on the tutors single-lesson cancellation policy. Please note that any 50% partial refunds in the tutors single-lesson cancellation policy do not apply to lesson packs and the tutor may choose to either refund or collect the coupon in those cases.

This lesson is “Immediately Confirmed”

If the requested date falls within 30 days, the request will be “confirmed” immediately without having to wait for the tutor to reply.

Requests will be confirmed immdiately expect the first one of a pack. If confirmed immediately, the policy “before request is confirmed” will not apply.
