Adventures with Alison
課程介紹
My aim for my lesson is to bring the pages of a book alive for your child. By reading to them they are learning the skill of listening. I will make sure that they have a basic understanding of what was read to them in a fun and conversational way. This is not a set English lesson, where they learn grammar and sentence construction. Through listening they will pick up on these aspects naturally.
You as a parent along with your child can either choose any English book that they already love to hear or choose a new exciting and adventure filled book to be read from. Whether it is a fairytale, superhero or adventure filled book, the the sky is the limit as to where they go and what they learn in the pages of a new story book. You are also welcome to choose a suggested English book from my list.
We will have fun while reading and getting to know the different characters in the books. Your child will also learn that not all books are the most interesting from the very beginning and that perserverance often leads to a worthy end. The thrill of finding out the ending of the book together will be worth the read.
A good lesson they may learn is that you can't always judge a book by it's cover and often the gem lays waiting patiently to be found by those who take the time to look and read.
