Levenl: Advanced + Professional
Preparation:
Will collect live job adverts similar to what the candidate is applying for in their industry.
Collecting a vocabulary of words related to that specific industry and role
Class
Go through the job descriptions together, I’ll answer any questions regarding words and expressions. We go through requirements and discuss how many of these the candidate meets by collecting STAR examples from previous roles.
Going through student’s resume together and tweaking where necessary.
Discussing differences in CV requirements in the student’s native country vs the UK
Have the student practice new words and expressions aloud to gain confidence.
If time allows, going through common interview questions such as ‘Tell me about yourself?’ Or ‘What interests you in this job?’
Homework:
Learn unknown words from the vocabulary, be able to confidently talk about how they are a great fit for the job, with examples.
