Learn German colors while having lots of fun!
课程介绍
Welcome to 'Time for German' – a 100-lesson German scheme of work designed to take learners from complete beginner to pre-intermediate level while having lots of fun along the way! This is Lesson 2 of the programme, and it’s a great way to get a feel for what my lessons are like.
In this lesson, you will learn to:
- Recognise and say 13 colours in German.
- Identify countries and their flags.
- Use words such as “light”, “dark” and “multicoloured” to describe colors.
- Say what your favourite color is in German.
You’ll practise through fun, interactive activities: naming the colors of objects I hold up, guessing the color of a mystery item in my bag, finding something of a color I call out, and identifying the colors on different flags.
A few days before the lesson, I’ll send you a vocabulary sheet and two activity sheets to pratcise your German colur knowledge.

Time for German 103 - Lessons 33–80: Reading, verbs and Grimm German Grammar
Learners build on what they learned in 101 and 102 through German stories, including Hänsel und Gretel, Dornröschen, Der Froschkönig and Rapunzel. They practise reading, learn to use more verbs and begin to understand grammar such as conjunctions, adjectives and the past tense. As they progress, they use German to make longer, more independent sentences.
Time for German 104
Becoming a German Speaker (Lessons 81–90)
Learners bring together the German they have learned so far and practise speaking more independently. Each week, they work towards a short German monologue, building the confidence to express their own ideas.
Rotkäppchen und der Wolf im Wald (Lessons 91–100)
Learners continue developing their German through the story of Little Red Riding Hood and the wolf. They explore new vocabulary, follow the story and practise using German to describe characters and events.
