Description

You will learn the fundamentals of personal finance, as well as the English vocabulary and concepts related to finance. The course covers the following areas:

Planning, saving, and budgeting
Interest
Home and car loans
Retirement
Investing (stocks/bonds)
How to use Microsoft Excel
Financial management tools (apps, etc.)

After completion, students will be able to calculate payments based on interest rates, calculate the future value of money based on the saving interest rate. Use that information to make a financial plan, and compare basic investment strategies. This course is designed to be as practical, and useful, as possible with immediate application.
