I used to study in Japan, where I obtained a master’s degree in Japanese literature, and I used these skills to work as a translator and interpreter, as well as to teach Korean on Cafetalk. My name is Alex. I'm an Italian-Brazilian who has lived in Japan for over twenty years. I have professional training in teaching languages, and I teach English, Brazilian Portuguese, German, and Japanese. I've also earned money with these four languages in translation, proofreading, interpretation, and transcription. I study other languages but haven't brought them to the professional level.

I grew up on Vancouver’s North Shore, with the mountains and forests behind me and with the sea before me. I had a lot of exposure to nature growing up, and also to other cultures, as Vancouver is a very multicultural city. I currently reside in Saitama prefecture, which, due to its flatness, results in me often getting lost when I drive as everywhere looks rather the same, haha.

I majored in Tourism Management at university, and worked as a ground staff member for an airline at New Chitose Airport in Hokkaido by making use of my major. After that, I started working as a Korean language tutor in Osaka, and I am now meeting all of you as an online tutor on Cafetalk.

My name is Shin. I live near Tokyo’s Haneda Airport. I am currently attending a course to become a Japanese language tutor. I am now finishing up my courses and have started actually teaching lesson to international students as practical training. My village is located in the department of Ardèche. L’Ardèche is a wonderful place, with a lot of mountains, rivers, famous caves like « Grotte Chauvet ». Many European tourists like to travel here during summer, as we have many camping. It is a very peaceful destination that all of you must visit someday
