Hello, Nice to meet you!

My name is Matt.

I am from Australia and am currently living in Shizuoka, Japan as an English Teacher.

I graduated from Adelaide University with a major in Japanese and Asian Studies.

I also studied abroad in Japan for 12 months at Kansai Gaidai, specializing in Japanese and Translation studies.

I then studied the Cambridge university certified teaching course (CELTA) and passed with a pass B.


I have just moved to Shizuoka a few months ago, and am loving it here in Japan!

I would like to help you as an English tutor in whatever way you need.

I can help you with English conversation, pronunciation, grammar explanation, homework, writing assignments, and any general question about English.
We can talk about anything you like, from work, school, friends, family, travel, Japan, Australia and even things about the world! I would love to talk with you about anything you like!

I can also provide Japanese assistance if you have problems explaining something in English!


I look forward to working together with you and helping you speak and learn English!
