Hello! I’m Younghee Kim, your Korean language tutor.
Thank you for checking out my profile!
I currently live in Seoul and teach Korean, English, and Japanese to students from all over the world through online lessons.
Not only am I a language teacher, but I’m also a language learner just like you. Curious how I became fluent in three languages?
I’m a native Korean who has never lived abroad—not in Japan, the U.S., or the U.K.—yet I’ve managed to master both English and Japanese through self-study. Despite having spent my entire life in Korea, I now enjoy teaching and connecting with students from around the globe.
Many of you may also be self-studying a foreign language without the opportunity to live abroad. I deeply understand the challenges of this journey and am eager to share my know-how and study strategies to help you achieve your goals.
In my lessons, you won’t just learn grammar, pronunciation, and expressions—you’ll also discover effective and efficient methods for studying foreign languages. I also place great importance on independent learning and will share practical tips and resources to support your self-study journey.
I am a calm and patient teacher, so feel free to make mistakes during class! In fact, the more mistakes you make, the faster your language skills will improve. My goal is to create a relaxed and supportive environment where you can learn with confidence.
To keep lessons fun and engaging, I use a variety of materials I’ve developed myself. Rather than textbook-style expressions, you’ll learn practical phrases that are used in real-life situations. My clear and easy-to-understand explanations will make your language-learning experience even more enjoyable.
The textbooks and materials used in each lesson may vary. I will provide all the resources you need for class. For more details, please refer to the course description.
Let’s make learning Korean a fun and rewarding experience together. I look forward to seeing you in class!
