Hi! I’m Mikiko.
I was born and raised in Nagano Japan.
You might know Nagano from the Winter Olympics (1998) or the snow monkeys bathing in a hot spring.
I teach both Japanese and English in Japan and online.
I teach at Universities and companies too.
Teaching Japanese enabled me to meet people from all over the world. It’s been a joy to teach.
I’m easygoing and friendly. Students tell me they feel motivated after the lesson.
I’m fluent in English so please do not worry if you are a total beginner.
I can help you with:
pronunciation, vocabulary, Japanese slang, commonly used expressions, hiragana writing, katakana writing, kanji, conversational Japanese, travel Japanese, etc.
Before our first lesson, I recommend you have a counseling/trial lesson with me. Please see the counseling/trial lesson page below.
