Hi! I’m Teacher Jami, your friendly ESL tutor from the Philippines!
I’ve loved English since I was young. I joined spelling contests, enjoyed writing poems and essays, and I still keep improving my skills by watching movies, listening to podcasts, and talking with people from different countries.
I started teaching ESL in 2017, mostly to Korean children through online classes. Later on, I also taught elementary to high school students in one-on-one and face-to-face settings. Since 2014, I’ve been handling preschoolers every summer in a university program here in the Philippines. I truly enjoy teaching kids and connecting with learners of different cultures!
Outside of teaching, I love spending time with my family—especially cooking and eating together. I also enjoy watching Korean dramas and learning the Korean language and culture.
In my class, I make learning fun, relaxed, and meaningful. I’m here to help you grow in confidence, not just in English, but also in expressing yourself. I can’t wait to meet you!
Teaching Style:
Kids: I use games, songs, and creative activities to make sure every class is fun and easy to understand.
Adults: If you’re an adult learner, I can help with speaking, pronunciation, and building your confidence in daily conversations.
