Hello! My name is Christine. I’ve been teaching English for about a couple of decades now. (I started teaching in 2006!) :) 

I hold a bachelor’s degree in Communication Arts. I also have certifications in Teaching English as a Foreign Language and Teaching Phonics in Early Childhood. I am a certified IELTS specialist as well.

Feel free to practice your English pronunciation with the tongue twisters in my video above. ^_^

ABOUT ME

There are two things that define my personality: MUSIC and BOOKS.

I’m absolutely fond of music. It’s a huge part of my life. Listening to music is one of my greatest pleasures and it truly fuels my soul. I'm currently dabbling in guitar and ukulele. Do you have any song recommendations for me?

As for books, I’m into reading fiction. What I love about it is how it can transport me into the minds and hearts of others, allowing me to experience a wide range of emotions. It's a way to connect with humanity on a deeper level. For as long as I can remember, I've nurtured a deep interest in classic literature. I'd love to hear your thoughts – what are some of your favorite works?

HOW DO I TEACH?

My lessons are lively, interactive and engaging. I like to maintain a relaxed atmosphere in order to encourage my students to speak out and gain confidence in using their target language. I actively listen and allow my students enough time to express their ideas, then provide real-time corrections. I guide my students into identifying their errors in grammar usage, suggest more appropriate vocabulary or expressions and of course, help them improve their pronunciation and accent.

WHAT CAN YOU EXPECT FROM MY CLASSES?

You can expect a supportive and encouraging learning environment where you'll feel comfortable practicing and improving your language skills. We'll work together to identify your strengths and weaknesses, and I'll provide personalized feedback and guidance to help you reach your language goals. You'll leave each lesson feeling more confident and motivated to continue learning.

LEARNING TAGALOG

Kumusta po? Kung gusto mong matuto ng Tagalog, o magsanay sa pagsasalita ng Tagalog, handa akong tulungan ka! Maari tayong mag-usap tungkol sa iba't ibang paksa, mula sa pang-araw-araw na buhay hanggang sa mga mas malalim na usapin. Tutulungan kitang magsalita nang mas flwento at natural.
