AllisonBlackwood 讲师的个人介绍

Hello, my name is Allison Blackwood. I am a 25-year-old molecular biologist with a passion for languages and teaching. I come from a lovely European country called Serbia. My teaching journey came about by pure accident when I volunteered to teach English one summer. That experience taught me that I'm a people person and that I love following people's journeys and their eventual success.I've been teaching for several years, and I have my own language-teaching business. As a language learner myself (my German is rusty and I'm currently learning Hungarian) I am aware of what it's like to be a student and which techniques and methods work well for language acquisition.My number one goal is fostering confidence in my students, and I think that confidence and hard work are the only two things enabling you to learn a language well. Before we start with our lessons, I like to identify areas of strength and weakness to formulate an individual plan for you. Patience is probably one of my strongest qualities, so feel free to ask the same question a million times if you need to. I'd be happy to resolve any issues that you have. 

I offer several types of lessons. 

  1. 1. We can follow a textbook appropriate for your level. 

  1. 2. We can have free-talk lessons on a topic of your choice appropriate toyour level. 

  1. 3. We can read and analyze a book appropriate to your level. 


I work with children as well as adults. I have a Cambridge certificate and a TEFL certificate. 

 

Apart from languages, biology and chemistry are my greatest passions. I love hiking and riding my bike as well as listening to audiobooks. I love traveling, and as I'm typing this, I'm preparing for a trip to Warsaw.
