About Me:
Hello!
My name is Gavin Mullen, I'm a TEFL-certified online English teacher, who specializes in teaching business English, and conversational English to adults. I have been teaching English online for the previous 4 years.
I started teaching online after moving to Cambodia from Ireland in 2019. I love teaching, and I especially enjoy lessons with clear goals and objectives such as; helping your prepare for interviews, developing your presentation skills, helping you with written English, and more.
I also work as a freelance editor and writer. If you want somethinig to read with your morning coffee; check out this site for posts I've written.
My Teaching Style
My teaching style is flexible, as I believe in adapting lessons to suit each individual student's needs. No two student's learn in the exact same way, so no two students should be thought in the exact same way.
I like to structure my lessons around learning objectives, this allows me to keep the lesson organized, as well as engaging. I believe in treating everyone with respect and dignity, especially during lessons. When students and teachers have trust in one another, it leads to better lessons and more learning.

Class Rules
Here are a few things to note when booking a lesson with me:
- Try not be late, I have a busy schedule, so I need lessons to start and end on time
- Always ask questions, I can't read your mind so please ask me whenever you are unsure about anything covered in a lesson
- If you are requesting a lesson for a business English topic, please send me your aims and objectives 12 hours in advance of the lesson. This allows us both to get the most out of the lesson
- Enjoy yourself!
