Hi, I’m Rubis, a certified Neurolanguage Coach® helping adults develop their English or French for everyday life and work. I bring 13 years of international corporate/HR experience to personalized coaching in language development and professional communication.
Start with a free 15-minute trial: choose either my English or French coaching lesson below and select “Request Trial.” We’ll explore your current situation, your goals and the kind of coaching that would be most useful for you.
I’m French and have spent much of my life in international environments, living and working in different countries including Saudi Arabia, China and the Netherlands, and I’m preparing to move to South Korea.
As a language learner myself, I’ve always been fascinated by the difference between knowing a language and actually being able to use it naturally when you need it.
Some of my clients want to improve their overall language skills: speaking, vocabulary, grammar, pronunciation, listening or fluency. Others want to become more effective communicators in professional or international situations. And for many people, the two naturally overlap.
MY BACKGROUND
I am a certified Neurolanguage Coach®, an approach that combines language learning with coaching and principles from neuroscience.
Before becoming a coach, I spent around 13 years working in corporate HR in international environments. This gives me a strong understanding of professional communication, but my coaching is not limited to business English or French.
I work with adults who have many different goals: becoming more fluent, expanding their vocabulary, improving accuracy, feeling more comfortable in conversation, expressing themselves more naturally, or developing the language and communication skills they need for work.
My own international experience has also taught me that communicating in another language is about much more than knowing the right words. Confidence, culture, context and the way we access what we already know can all make a difference.
HOW I WORK
My sessions are personalized rather than based on one fixed textbook or curriculum.
We start with you: what you can already do, what you would like to improve, what feels difficult and what you would genuinely like to be able to do differently.
Depending on your goals, we might work on:
• speaking more naturally and fluently
• vocabulary and expanding the language you can actively use
• grammar and accuracy
• pronunciation and listening
• everyday conversation
• confidence and spontaneity
• expressing your ideas more clearly
• finding the words you need more easily
• meetings and group discussions
• presentations or interviews
• difficult or high-pressure conversations
• communicating across cultures
Sometimes we might simply have a conversation and use what happens naturally to identify useful language, patterns or areas to develop.
At other times, you might bring a specific situation from your life or work. We can reconstruct what happened, understand what made it difficult, explore different possibilities and practice until you find something that feels natural and useful to you.
The goal is not simply to accumulate more knowledge. It is to help you make the English or French you are learning more accessible when you actually want to use it.
A SPACE TO LEARN AND EXPERIMENT
You don’t need to perform or be perfect in our sessions.
They are a space to experiment, make mistakes, ask questions, notice patterns and discover what helps you learn and communicate more effectively.
When you need language input, we can work on vocabulary, grammar, pronunciation or other aspects of the language. When the challenge is confidence, spontaneity, communication strategy or expressing an idea clearly, we can work on that too.
I want our sessions to respond to what you need rather than forcing every learner through exactly the same process.
PROGRESS AND CONTINUITY
I believe that regular coaching should be more than a series of unrelated conversations.
If we work together over time, we can identify your main goals and create a personal coaching roadmap. We can notice recurring patterns, follow your development, reflect on what is changing and adjust our work as your needs evolve.
To support this continuity, I may use Fathom, an AI note-taking and transcription tool, during Google Meet sessions. It helps me keep accurate session notes, identify recurring themes and follow your progress from one session to the next.
Fathom is only used with your consent. If you prefer not to have AI-assisted recording or transcription during your session, that is completely fine and we can work without it.
This allows our sessions to build on one another while still remaining flexible enough to work on whatever is most useful to you at that moment.
WHO ARE MY SESSIONS FOR?
My coaching is designed for adults at different stages of their English or French learning journey, including beginners.
You might be starting to build your foundations and want support with vocabulary, grammar, pronunciation and everyday communication.
You might already have some knowledge of the language but want to become more fluent, confident and comfortable speaking.
You might have an advanced level and want to sound more natural, precise or spontaneous.
You might need English or French for everyday life, travel, living abroad, personal development or simply because learning the language matters to you.
Or your goals might be professional: communicating in meetings, presentations, interviews, international environments or challenging workplace situations.
And of course, your goals can combine general language development and professional communication.
Whatever your starting point, we begin with where you are now and where you want to go, and adapt the coaching accordingly.
If you’re not sure where to start, you can begin with an introductory session. We’ll explore your current situation, your goals and the kind of coaching that would be most useful for you.
I look forward to meeting you!
