About me:

 

Hello. My name is Bill and I’m from the UK, but I have lived for the last 34 years in Catalonia in Spain. Apart from my native English language, I also speak Spanish and Catalan and enjoy reading and watching movies and series in all three languages.

My hobbies include playing the bass guitar, reading, gardening and cooking – I love talking about food and recipes with my students!

I am also interested in what is happening in the world, so I’m happy to talk about political topics (from a neutral position, of course), business news, new technology and solutions to help fight against climate change.

I have long years of experience teaching all ages, although mostly older teenagers and adults. I have taught general English and Business English, too.

Let me help you with your pronunciation, grammar, conversation and presentation skills.

 

Qualifications:

 

I have an honours degree and post-graduate diploma in Fine Art and the CELTA teaching certificate for teaching English as a foreign language. I have also been awarded training certificates by the Generalitat de Catalunya.

 

Experience:

 

Teaching in several language schools and institutions.

In-company classes with business executives.

Exam preparation for the Cambridge exams, TOEFL and IELTS.

Online classes for an international company based in Paris.

 

My classes:

 

I always try to keep my classes fun and with as muuch participation from the student as possible.

I may use songs, videos and news stories as a starting point for the class, which could be about improving your grammar and writing skills, giving a presentation, participating in meetings or just general small talk and conversation. Above all, they have to answer to your needs and requirements, so students can also set the content of the classes if they wish to.
