Hi everyone,
My name is Miza, and I’m an English teacher with over 5 years of experience teaching students, especially Japanese learners, from beginner to advanced levels. I have supported students preparing for a range of English exams, including EIKEN (up to Grade 1), as well as IELTS and other school or entrance examinations.
I focus on helping students build confidence in English for both exams and real-life communication. From my experience, the most effective way to improve is through consistent practice in a comfortable and supportive environment. My lessons are interactive, structured, and tailored to each student’s needs.
In my lessons, we focus on a range of skills depending on your goals, including:
I have taught students at all levels, from complete beginners to those preparing for exams, and have helped them achieve their academic goals step by step.
I use lesson time efficiently and provide regular homework to reinforce learning, as I strongly believe consistent practice leads to real improvement.
A little more about me: I am an active and outgoing person who enjoys sports and spending time outdoors. I also enjoy traveling and like to stay updated on world news by reading articles regularly. I bring the same positive and energetic approach into my lessons to keep them engaging and motivating.
In addition to English, I hold an LLB and am currently a law student. I also have experience teaching law and economics, which has strengthened my ability to explain complex ideas clearly — especially useful for essays and higher-level English.
Having worked closely with many Japanese students, I understand their common challenges and how to help them improve efficiently. I tailor each lesson to the student’s goals, whether it is exam preparation, conversation practice, or overall English development.
Most importantly, I aim to create a supportive and comfortable environment where students feel confident to speak, make mistakes, and improve step by step.
If you are looking for a teacher who is experienced, patient, and committed to your progress, I would be happy to work with you!
