Hello, my name is Dlouisse, and I am a licensed professional English teacher from the Philippines. I am TESOL/TEFL certified and have over seven years of experience teaching high school and college students. I also hold a Master’s degree in Teaching English Communication Arts, which has strengthened my communication skills and enhanced my teaching strategies.
Currently, I am working in Vietnam as an English teacher. I am passionate about helping students build their confidence and improve their English skills through engaging, interactive, and student-centered lessons. I have been teaching English since 2017 in various private institutions and universities in the Philippines. I was also given the opportunity to teach research-related subjects, serve as a research adviser, and guide students in publishing their work and presenting it internationally.
I speak Tagalog, the lingua franca of the Philippines, and I am from Mindanao, where Cebuano is our native language. I can help travelers who wish to visit the Philippines and learn either Tagalog or Cebuano. However, my primary focus is teaching English. I am skilled in correcting grammar, explaining unfamiliar vocabulary, and improving pronunciation. I can also support students in research writing, particularly in the Humanities and Social Sciences.
I tailor my lessons according to each student’s needs. I believe that when students feel supported and safe, participation and improvement come naturally.
