Hi there!

Looking to improve or maintain your English speaking level? Let's talk.

I have a masters degree in Language Education and have 10+ years experience as a high school and university teacher. I've also been a private tutor and taught adults, professionals, and kids one-on-one.

My learning philosophy: language learning is a holistic process. It takes time and smart effort. Experience with real English ("real English" = for native speakers, by native speakers) is key. Fluency comes in all different sizes and shapes. It's important to know what you want to do in English, with who, and where. After that, just have fun!

I'm an American, but I live in Tokyo now. I've lived in Japan for 8 years. I lived in Kyoto for many years. I love travelling, and I've travelled all over Europe and the U.S.



As a language learner myself, I understand how you feel: it's hard work!
