Hello! My name is Mia. I am a native English-speaker from the UK, with 4+ years experience in teaching English to students of all levels.
About me:
About me:
I love travelling and Japan was the first country I visited as a solo traveller. I spent 6 months working at a hostel in Kyoto and developed a passion for sushi, ramen and Japanese design. In the UK, I have taught large groups of incoming english language students from Japan and participated in cultural exchange activities.
I have also lived and worked in the US for several years, so if you are interested in discussing aspects of American culture e.g. American slang, food or lifestyle, then we would be able to have some interesting chats about life in the United States.
Please feel free to suggest any topics that interest you. My hobbies include reading, cooking, writing and, more recently, roller-skating! I also love watching movies and am a big fan of Studio Ghibli. I'd be interested in some new Japanese movie recommendations!

My teaching style is enthusiastic, engaging and challenging. Whether it's conversational English or fluency you're after, I offer tailored lessons with engaging materials to students of all levels. I believe that learning English should be an enjoyable experience. I also understand that learning a language takes time and I believe in repetition, so we can methodically work through any obstacles that may be blocking you from reaching your highest potential.
