＜Self-Intro＞

Hello, everyone! I’m Yuriko(:

I was born and raised in Tokyo, Japan. I used to think I would never leave Japan, so I was not good at English until my last year of high school… At that time, I wasn't even able to understand the most basic English grammar like past tense. However, I started learning the basics and (even I'm surprised) survived four and a half years of college life in the U.S.!! Through the experience, my small and limited world was expanded by meeting people from various countries and learning about their different values and how they were affected by their different backgrounds.

Learning a new language is not just about increasing your knowledge but about building new connections and helping you make new discoveries!

Learning Japanese may be more exciting if your motivation is something like, "I want to know more about someone or something!" or "I want to see a world that I've never seen before!"

Let me help you discover more about Japan and start your language-learning journey by studying Japanese with me!

Qualification and Experience:

TOEFL score 84（Setp 2017）

TOEIC score 915（Apr. 2023）

Passed Japanese Language Teaching Competency Test（Dec. 2023）

Taught online Japanese private lessons using the Minna no Nihongo textbook and PowerPoint 

Favorite Movies and Anime：

Ghibli movies (Castle in the Sky, Whisper of the Heart, The Cat Returns♪), Star Wars, Marvel movies, Lord of the Rings, Pokemon, Tokyo Revengers, etc.

Hobbies：

Piano, House Plants, Futsal, and Stroll

Countries I’ve visited：

U.S.A. (Hawaii, NY, Chicago, LA), South Korea, Cambodia, Vietnam, and Singapore
