Hi! Welcome to my profile!

About Me
My name is Mercy Melba and I live in India. I've been passionate about English ever since I was in school and I think it's a cool language. I've got a clear accent which is almost neutral which means you can understand me well regardless of where you are from. About my interests, I love to read articles, sing, write blogs and do voice overs.

Qualifications and Experience
I completed by Masters Degree in Mathematics in the year 2020 and I worked as a Content Reviewer for a year. I served as a English Communication Trainer for a few months, where I worked with young adults to help improve their speaking skills. I've also served as a Private Tutor for a couple years, helping students work on their Math and English knowledge. I have a TEFL/TESOL Certification to teach English worldwide and have got student from across Asia, including a few from Australia, Canada and the US!

About my lessons
I offer lessons for the subjects English and Math. Although most of them are targeted at teengers and adults, there are some lessons that children can take too. 
English
A variety of lessons can be found on my page which will help you improve your language overall in a step-by-step manner. I also offer guidance for self-study. With me, you can aim to improve

  • Creative Writing
  • Business English.
  • Pronunciation
  • Grammar
There are games too on my lesson page which you should definitely take. Most of my students are excited to learn about the Indian culture and I am glad to share it with them.

Math:
Lessons are offered for students upto college level. If you need help with your homework, I'd be glad to guide you through.


Teaching style
I usually like to begin by introducing myself to the student and get to know about them briefly. During the lesson, engagement of both sides is important for a smooth session. I like to give my students a detailed feedback; including their strengths and areas of improvement. I'd also love to give you a little activity to work on after class to practice your skills. However, this is optional.

I'd appreciate it if

  • You take lessons regularly and report to class on time.
  • Avoid cancellations as much as you can.
  • Ask questions and be active in the session.
  • Co-operate in order to see the best results.
