Hello, my name is Neal. I’m an ESL teacher with over six years of experience teaching in traditional classrooms and online platforms. I’ve worked with students from all over the world, including China, Taiwan, and Indonesia.

I would describe myself as calm, patient, and relaxed. My teaching style is centered on encouraging students to think for themselves and express their ideas confidently. In my lessons, I create a comfortable, supportive environment where you can practice speaking, ask questions, and build your language skills step by step.

Outside of teaching, I have a range of interests, including football, movies, exercise, and learning Chinese. I enjoy connecting with students over shared interests and incorporating these topics into our lessons when possible.

In our lessons:

  • We will have fun, engaging conversations tailored to your interests and goals.
  • I will adapt to your level and pace, ensuring you feel confident as you progress.
  • We can explore a variety of materials, such as articles, videos, or even games, to make learning dynamic and enjoyable.
  • I will help correct your pronunciation, expand your vocabulary, and teach you practical phrases you can use right away.
  • We’ll discuss topics of your choice, whether that’s sports, movies, world events, or anything else you’re passionate about.

Mistakes are part of the learning process, so don’t be afraid to try. Every error brings you closer to improvement, and I’ll be there to guide you every step of the way.
