【Training Your Dog】
I don’t like the word ‘training’, although I use it because the word is commonly used. If you want to communicate with people from other countries, you learn their language, right? It is the same when it comes to dogs, you learn their language to learn how to communicate with them.
Think of it as a communication technique with your dog rather than a way to train your dog.
If you teach your dog and they don’t learn, it is simply because you are not communicating with them in the right way. If you and your dog can read each other’s feelings and communicate those feelings, your dog is sure to respond to your expectations.
The method I use to teach does not involve scolding your dog, hitting your dog, nor anything else that your dog might not like. It is based on praise (reward), which develops your dog’s initiative and makes them a good, cheerful, and energetic dog.
