In my Cafetalk lessons, I am flexible and operate under the motto to help “anyone feel at ease.” You don’t need to worry at all even if you’re a beginner or if you wonder whether it’s okay to request a specific type of lesson.
I welcome not only those of you who are currently learning to play the piano, but also those of you who are learning other instruments, or want to improve your sense of rhythm, want to be able to transcribe by ear, as well as children living abroad who would like to have lessons while communicating in Japanese. I currently teach students with varying goals. Depending on the lesson content, you can still take my lessons even if you do not have a music instrument at hand.
I would like to help everyone achieve their goals and dreams more as a supporter rather than as a teacher. I look forward to meeting you.
【Lesson Features】
・I will analyze “why you are struggling” and provide easy-to-understand solutions. For instance, in piano performance, I not only help you play the piece you are currently working on, but also teach practice methods and ways to interpret sheet music that will be beneficial for playing other pieces as well (such as how to perceive expressions not written in symbols on the sheet music).
・For those who struggle with reading sheet music, I will also incorporate training methods to improve sheet-reading skills. While providing clear explanations, I aim to help students read sheet music more naturally by including elements of solfège such as sheet-reading skills and sense of rhythm during our lessons.
・If you want to play just one song or need advice on how to arrange a song that you want to play in a simpler way, please feel free to reach out to me. Many students prefer to enjoy playing rather than focusing on foundational skills or theory, and for those individuals, I will help them to play their favourite songs in the shortest possible time.
・Preparation for nursery teacher exams etc.
I will guide you until you reach a passing level in both music theory and practical skills, even if you ares starting from with no prior knowledge (I have a proven track record of successfully teaching my students). Please feel free to consult with me about any issues you might be having with exam questions, such as intervals or transposition-related questions. I will create my original qustions based on past exam questions and conduct mock tests and correct your mistakes through correspondence.

Currently, my lesson availability can be irregular, but I also occasionally have availability outside of days that are listed in my schedule (from 8 AM to 11 PM).
