Hello coffee drinkers at Cafetalk, 

I'm Dee from Canada!
I'm originally from Canada, but now I live in Japan.
I'm 44 years old, and I live in the Shonan area with my family.

I've been teaching English for over 16 years!
I've taught English in many countries, including:
  • Vancouver, Cananda
  • New York, United States
  • Manila, Philippines
  • Incheon, Korea
  • Everywhere, in Japan!
When I was 31 years old, I decided to move to Japan to live and work.
I've been living in Japan for 12 years, and I absolutely love it!

I'm very active and I love outdoor sports. My hobbies include surfing, SUP, hiking, rock-climbing, mountaineering, and skiing.

About my teaching experience, I was the co-founder of an English program for a kingergarten in the Shonan area.
After that, I worked for the most popular English conversation school in Japan (the one with a green logo), and I became the top instructor at the Shonan branch for over 10 years.

About my teaching style, I specialize in sentence-building and I can help you output sentences, by using patterns for any situation!
I can teach any complex grammar for advanced students, or basic grammar for beginners.
But, I will always teach it by using fun and interesting techniques for communication.  We will always focus on output, communication, catchball conversation, and listening.

I teach 40-minute lessons, because a warm-up is important to build rapport so that you feel comfortable speaking English.  I understand the weaknesses of Japanese learners, so you can feel comfortable  and don't worry about your confidence. Just follow me, and I will guide you.

Currently, I'm only teaching adults, and I request that you use your camera.  I believe that face to face communication is important for language learning, and also to feel more comfortable with each other.
After the lesson, I will also provide lesson notes about everything you learned in the lesson.

You will not be disappointed with my lessons.

カナダ出身のディーです！
もともと私はカナダ出身ですが、現在は日本に住んでいます。
私は44歳で、湘南エリアに家族と一緒に住んでいます。
 
私は16年以上も英語を教えています！
バンクーバー（カナダ）、ニューヨーク（アメリカ）、マニラ（フィリピン）、仁川（韓国）、そして日本の至る所で英語を教えてきました！
31歳のとき、日本で生活し働くことを決意しました。
それ以来、12年間日本で生活し、本当に楽しんでいます！
 
アクティブで、アウトドアスポーツが大好きです。サーフィン、SUP、ハイキング、ロッククライミング、登山、スキーなどが趣味です。
 
私の教育経験について、湘南エリアの幼稚園の英語プログラムの共同創設者でした。
その後、日本で最も人気のある英会話学校（緑のロゴのある学校）で働き、10年以上にわたり湘南支店のトップ講師になりました。
 
私の教育スタイルについて、文の構築を専門とし、どんな状況でも文を出力するのを助けるパターンを使用します！
上級者向けの複雑な文法から初心者向けの基本的な文法まで教えることができます。
ただし、コミュニケーションのための楽しく面白い技法を使用して教えます。常にアウトプット、コミュニケーション、キャッチボールの会話、そしてリスニングに焦点を当てます。
 
レッスンは40分間で行います。ウォームアップは関係を築くために重要ですので、英語を話すのが楽に感じるようにします。日本人学習者の弱点を理解していますので、リラックスしていただけ、自信を持ってください。私についてきていただければ、必ずお手伝いします。
 
現在は大人向けのみのレッスンを行っており、カメラを使用していただくようお願いしています。
顔を見てのコミュニケーションは言語学習にとって重要であり、お互いにより快適に感じることができます。
レッスンの後、そのレッスンで学んだすべての内容についてのレッスンノートも提供します。
