Hello, I'm Yu!

I was born and raised in Kanagawa, Japan, but after I got married I moved to the UK.
 
I studied cultural studies and international relations at the university. When I was a university student, I traveled many countries all over the world (UK, France, Cambodia, Nepal, Philippined, South Korea, Netherlands etc)
 
After I graduated university, I had been working as a secretary for over two years, so I can teach bisiness Japanese, polite Japanese, and business manners in Japan as well,
 
My hobbies are reading books, listening to music/rakugo, watching rugby games, and eating tasty food!
 
My focus is helping you to gain confidence to speak more like a native Japanese speaker. 
I do this by creating relaxing and interesting lessons on whatever topic that you might be interested in.
In the lesson, I will introduce new words/phrases, and correct your pronunciation and your grammar.
 
I have always had a passion for languages and teaching and will do my best to accommodate your needs.


★Here are the three types of lessons I specialise in:
 
**Conversation lessons**
We will discuss a variety of different topics connected to your interests. 
 
**General Japanese tutoring**
We will focus on improving your reading/listening/speaking/writing skills.
 
**JLPT (or other exam) preparation**
This is suitable for learners who plan to take the JLPT.
