I’m Kaori Iijima, a yoga instructor.
I’m in my fourth year of practicing yoga and am currently conducting over 550 lessons annually.

I first encountered yoga when I noticed my physical strength declining and began feeling unwell.
Back then, I was extremely inflexible and out of shape, but since I started practicing yoga, both my body and soul have become balanced, and I now enjoy daily life more comfortably than I did in my twenties.
My once stiff body has loosened up, and I’ve changed so much that I can even do the splits now.

What I discovered to be most important when I encountered yoga, was the practice of breathing and relaxing the body!
Deep breathing brings a relaxing effect and helps align both your mind and soul.
Conversely, when breathing tends to become shallow, it can make you more prone to stress and cause various forms of discomfort.

Additionally, by loosening muscles that tend to stiffen up during your daily life,
you can improve your posture, develop a body that gets tired less easily, and even change to a metabolism that makes it easier to lose weight.

In my lessons, we will move our bodies while placing importance on breathing.
It’s absolutely fine whether you can do the yoga poses or not.
Let’s practice yoga together while focusing on deep breaths to release those tight muscles!
