Profilo di Kazuchee
I'm 66 years old and originally from Osaka Prefecture. I'm married and currently live in the Kanto region. I worked as a programmer and system engineer for a regular company until I was about 30 years old. I then gradually became independent as an English-to-Japanese translator (specializing in the IT field) and have been working as a freelance translator for nearly 35 years. For the past few years, I've been teaching IT-related subjects in Japanese only to a class of about 30 Asian students with limited English proficiency. However, I left my job to pursue a one-on-one approach to teaching Japanese culture and the language to truly motivated foreigners. I have passed the Japanese Language Teaching Competency Examination in 2024, so I can also provide in-depth instruction on Japanese grammar. I currently have a TOEIC L&R score of 880.
[For Non-Japanese]
I'm especially interested in foreigners with intermediate or higher levels of Japanese who are serious about improving their Japanese. I'm happy to share my genuine knowledge of Japanese culture and the language I've cultivated over my 66 years of life. Advanced Japanese speakers are also welcome to join in on the fun. Even topics such as religion and politics are OK (If you don't mind).
[For Japanese Students]
Also, are there any Japanese people who would like to learn English from a Japanese person, rather than from a native English speaker? I can help you expand your vocabulary and master pronunciation while singing Western music like rock and pop! I'll also teach you some recommended, slightly older songs by the Beatles and the Kinks. This course is aimed at beginner to intermediate learners. I've never lived abroad, but I was able to improve my pronunciation and listening skills by simply listening to and singing along to Western music.
Incidentally, I went straight from Nada Junior High School to Nada High School to the University of Tokyo University, so if you'd like to mix your English studies with "rigorous" entrance exam preparation, I'd love to help you.
