讲师休假中。

I am a retired university instructor (鶴見大学）who has lived in Japan for more than 40 years. My home is in Yokohama where I have lived for more than 30 years.

My wife is Japanese and is from Fukuoka. My daughter currently lives in Denver, Colorado (USA). My son works for a large Japanese company and also lives in Yokohama.

I was born and raised in the United States (New York).

I worked in the English Department at Tsurumi University for 40 years before retiring several years ago. I taught conversation, composition, speech, and other subjects. I also performed various administrative duties.

My Japanese language ability is fair although not nearly as good as I would like it to be. I do read and write the language and sometimes do technical translation most often in the automotive field.

I am interested in all things Japanese and enjoy teaching Japanese students.

My hobbies include Japanese trains, country music, 日本の軍歌, and long-distance bicycle touring.
