Hello, Bonjour!

My name is Karina. I am a french native. 

I am now living between Nice on the French Riviera and Tokyo. 

I came to Japan first time in April 2013 and I loved it, I cannot explain why, but Japan is the place where I feel good, in peace and harmony with myself.  I think it must be thanks to its wonderful inhabitants, because even with my only ten words of japanese, and the huge cultural differences, I manage to communicate and create beautiful friendships. 

For me communication is a second skin, I need it, I love it. And I believe that when you are true, it shines and allows all cultural barriers to fall.

I have a Master Degree in Foreign Languages. My studies in France and England were also related to Marketing and International Business.

I  am the mother of two boys aged 10 and 12, so teaching is for me an everyday practice also at home, very challenging but always motivating.

I have been teaching as an after-class tutor for more than 20 years and I have also experience in providing quality and friendly online french tuitions.

I worked many years as a personal assistant in an architect and real estate agency, for top-class wealthy international clients, and then as a secretary in accountancy and in human resources.

Today i decided to work as a freelance and offer the range of activities I feel I am helpful at.  

I speak french, english, german, some italian and hopefully very soon some japanese.

Once you will hear me speaking japanese, I can garantee you will no longer be shy to speak french! 

I love travelling with my kids, mainly towards Asia or European countries, always staying as much as possible with local people. That is for me the best way to get to know a country, meet and live, talk and share, cook and eat  with the inhabitants, go out of the "tourist" overcrowded places. 

That is why I want to offer you my help to get the best out of your stay in France or Europe, because everybody deserves wonderful memories from their holidays.

I have a very good contact with people and as I am considered as  a good analyzer and then adviser, patient, positive, I decided to also start working as a personal coach. Sometimes we do not feel like telling everything to our best friend or usual confident, and finding an attentive external ear allows to reveal the answers that we all have inside us but sometimes just do not see.

Setting goals together and having someone to stay motivated  and keep focused is a great help in our modern busy lifes. I guarantee no judgements and of course total secrecy of our conversations.

I practice vipassana meditation, for me it is a good way to stay equanimous, specially when my kids try to start to drive me crazy!

I find it important to make each lesson enjoyable for you and for me. I believe that one learns better while enjoying the process. So in my class you are welcome to laugh, I will anyway keep a eye on progress! One important step to improve your french is to find confidence, and I am there to help you try, and try and try.
