Tamie Kashiwakura 讲师的个人介绍
Hi! My name is Tamie! Teaching is truly my passion! I am proficient in English, but I am also graduated in Politics and Bibie Studies. So, why not combine those things and create a fun and iinteresting way of learning English!? Here, you can practice your English or Portuguese, while talking about politics, culture, history or whatever you want to talk about! Each lesson is unique! And we can learn so much when you open yourself to the possibility! Come with me!
About my teaching background, I have a master's degree in Political Science (Universidade de Brasilia, Brazil) and I also studied Biblical Studies at Rhema Bible College, United States. I also have experience in private English tutoring, offline and online. What I like the most about tutoring is the possibility of understanding and approaching the needs of each student individually. That way, it is possible to costumize a lesson to each person, accomodating each indivual reality.
I offer English conversation and Portuguese lessons. Below, you will be able to see all types of lessons I offer and you can choose whatever you want.
Some English lessons, such as "Learning English with the World" and "English and Politics" are recommended for intermediate to advanced English speakers, since they envolve more complex discussions. Whereas the lesson "Let's talk in English" can be for any kind of level; here, we are going to have conversations related to your English level!
About the Portuguese, the lesson "Aprendendo o básico" (Learning the Basics) is a start for beginners; "Português e Cultura Brasileira" (Portuguese and Brazilian Culture) is for any kind of Portuguese level!
Lessons are costumized and the materials used are flexible! We can use textbooks if you prefer, but we can also use articles from news outlets, songs or just talking. As a private tutor, I want to know what kind of method you are most confortable with! You can also exercise your writing skills! Before you choose any lesson, I recommend you to start with the "Introduction Lesson" both in English and Portuguese ("Aula Introdutória" for Portuguese lessons), for us to get to know each other and for me to learn about your expectations with the tutoring; from there, we can trace the best plan of action!
