I’m Mariko.
I am a certified Japanese teacher.
I can teach Japanese.
I live in Hong Kong with my British husband and our daughter.

I have experience teaching Japanese at schools in Japan and Hong Kong
I also have experience teaching private lessons.
I have taught a variety of people, from elementary school students to working adults. I have even taught entertainers.

Mariko Sensei is very engaging in conversation. She asks questions one after another, very fast-paced - there's no dead time. She corrected my mistakes through the message box, and typed out words i found difficult or were unfamiliar. This kind of exchange resulted in a free-flowing conversation. Being proficient in English was also very helpful when needed. Perhaps because she is an experienced Japanese teacher, she was able to grasp my level easily and adjusted to that. During our lesson the connection was a bit bad due to a typhoon in Hong Kong but she kindly extended the lesson time to compensate for this. Highly recommended for conversation practice. I'd definitely book another lesson.
