[Please note that my lessons are for adult students only. I do not teach children at the moment. Thank you for your understanding.]


My name is Karl, and I'm from the state of Georgia in the American South. I'm here on Cafetalk to teach English, and I can help you get started in a bunch of other languages. Belgian Dutch is my favorite language.


I have over twelve years of experience teaching English, so I have a lot of teaching materials for all levels.


I also understand what it feels like to be a language learner. I've learned Mandarin, Japanese, and Korean before, and really know what it feels like to try to communicate in a different language and not know how to express yourself.


As your teacher, I hope to help you overcome these challenges and make you a better communicator.


If you're looking to focus on your communication skills, feel free to take my "Free Talking" Series. Here you can choose a topic, or I'll choose a theme that we can discuss.


If you're getting ready for tests or want to improve your vocabulary and grammar, try my "Read and Talk" Series. Here, you'll read one or two articles, we'll learn how to use the vocabulary properly, and we'll practice discussing and debating opinions in English.

My latest lesson series is about the ancient game of Chess. Many adults think they can't learn Chess, but that simply isn't true.
