Efe Ogunkeye 讲师的个人介绍
Hello everyone, I am Efe (エフィ), born and raised in London, England. I've been living in Japan for 4 years and came here to experience Japanese culture on a wide scale. I currently live in Osaka, I like teaching English because I get to meet new people everyday and learn new things about them.
I have also been teaching English for 4 years through various English Conversation Schools as well as privately in Kanagawa, Tokyo, Kobe and Osaka.
My hobbies are eating, I am a foodie so I love eating lots of unusual food.
I also like travelling, I have been to 42 out of 47 Prefectures in Japan and I plan to visit the remaining prefectures in my free time. Learning about cultural differences between Japan and England is also added to my list of interests. Even though I have been in Japan for a while, there`s so much things I`ve yet to learn about manners, I hope to follow them as politely as possible.
I also like long-distance walking, so missing the last train is never a problem for me as I could walk up to 5 hours to my house.
My teaching style mainly focuses on making the student talk more than me as well as correcting their mistakes (depending on how strict they would like to be corrected). I usually break my lessons into various topics, for example if it is a lesson about sports for 50 minutes, I would do something like this:
10 minutes of introduction from the student
5 minutes of questions between me and the student
25 minutes talking about sports while teaching new grammar and vocabulary to the student.
5 minutes review.
5 minutes of questions between me and student (what they would like to do for the next lesson, giving them homework, etc)
