Hello,
My name is Daniel.
I hold a certification for teaching STEAM and have spent time teaching STEAM and related concepts to ESL students.
In my free time I enjoy listening to and playing music singing, cycling, and spending time with my pets.

My name is Daniel.
I find many students have not had the opportunity to speak to a native English speaker before and as a result speak in an overly formal and awkward way. I want students to feel as if they travelled to a western country they would fit right in. Teaching English as a second language is my full-time job and I especially enjoy teaching casual conversation. I am an American originally from North Carolina on the east coast, however I moved to Vietnam about 4 years ago.
I have held a few different jobs teaching English. The main one being a head teacher for a Vietnamese English center where I worked for three years.
I spent 6 months living on a small island in Vietnam called Phu Quoc where I taught in a local pre-school.
When I first moved Vietnam, I taught tour guides how to speak to western tourists for a local tour company in Ho Chi Minh City, as well as teaching in a public high school during that same time period.
I have been teaching online since the beginning of this year and have taught hundreds of hours and hundreds of students.
I have a 4 year degree in psychology from UNCG, in North Carolina where I am originally from.
I have a 150 hour TESOL certificate that I earned in person with in class practice in Vietnam.
I have nearly 4 years experience teaching ESL including time spent training other ESL teachers and managing an English center.
In my free time I enjoy listening to and playing music singing, cycling, and spending time with my pets.
