revel arroway 讲师的个人介绍
Hey!
My name is revel arroway (that's right, I don't use upper-case letters in that name!) If you are a formal person, you may call me "Mr arroway"; if you are not so formal, you can call me "revel". I answer kindly to both!
I began my work in ESL teaching waaaay back in 1982 in New York City. There, I mainly worked with Japanese business men, though I had students from other countries and cultures as well.
In 1989 I moved to Spain, where I have lived since. Of course, after living here for 30 years, I also speak Spanish fluently.
I continued teaching ESL here in Spain, now to learners in private schools, the public school, universities and businesses. I also gave teacher training workshops in public schools and for the Escuela Oficial de Idiomas.
I write a blog called "Interpretative ESL Teaching". There, I write out my thoughts about language teaching and learning. I also guest blog in other places on language teaching (you can find me on Google!).
I have a podcast, started thanks to the Cafetalk Teacher's Column, called radio revel. Though it began with my posts on Cafetalk, it has now become a place, along with the blog, for reflections on reality, our current realities and how they need our active participation for change that will benefit the planet and humanity.
I spend my free time gardening, watching movies and documentaries, reading, playing with my dog, hiking in the mountains and playing the guitar.
I'm here to answer questions and doubts that both teachers and students have about learning, teaching and using English in their daily lives.
