Hello! My name is Marawan Mohammed, but you can call me Mu.
I was born and raised in Cairo, Egypt. I graduated from the Faculty of Education at Suez Canal University in Al Arish, Sinai in 2009, majoring in Science and Education.

During college, I worked as a translator on various occasions, such as the European Red Cross campaign to support Gaza with medical aid in 2009.

I've received my education in both Arabic and English, and having lived in Egypt, I am fluent in both languages. If you prefer a tutor who can communicate effectively in both English and Arabic, please check out my lessons! Being bilingual, I can immediately answer any question in either language.

After graduation, I worked as an English teacher in several countries including Egypt (of course), the Philippines, Malaysia, China, and Indonesia. I spent five years teaching in Egypt before deciding to explore opportunities abroad. I worked in China for two years and would have stayed longer if not for COVID-19.




Teaching in different countries has broadened my perspective and enriched my teaching experience. Traveling has not only expanded my cultural awareness but also enhanced my ability to connect with students from diverse backgrounds. My students enjoy my classes because they feel comfortable expressing themselves without fear of being judged.

I have 15 years of teaching experience and have taught all age groups, from 2.5 years old to 60 years old. They all had fun and left my classes with new knowledge and a smile on their faces.

I currently live in Jakarta, Indonesia. I can speak Bahasa Indonesia for daily conversations, as I work as an English teacher at an Indonesian international school. Learning the local language has been essential for my day-to-day life - just kidding, but it definitely helps!


I also work as a motivational speaker, encouraging students to improve their English and understand the importance of learning it as a second language.
My lesson plans are casual and easy to follow, requiring reasoning skills. While I am very easy-going and patient, I take my work seriously.

I am flexible and can accommodate your preferred type of instruction, whether structured lessons or free conversation. My lessons cover:
1. English sayings and quotes.
2. Scholarly writing.
3. Idioms.
4. Pronunciation exercises.
Each student has different goals, so I tailor my lessons to help you achieve yours, whether it’s for travel, work, or personal improvement.

Personally, I enjoy reading, swimming, watching movies, and exploring new restaurants. I have a precious cat named Bryn, and of course, I love traveling.
